Finding Balance

The biggest issue that I've had with my blogging lately is figuring out how to balance it with my off-the-internet life. I LOVE blogging and not having enough time for it is just...not fun. Recently life has just been shoved in my face as I'm growing up and entering those years where EVERYTHING happens. School, which has always been a struggle for me is now a necessary priority and I have so many questions and things to think about. I've had to spend a lot of time trying to get myself on track with that, and I think it's finally working. I’ve been working harder and finding it so much more enjoyable than it was before. However, on the side of that all my extra-curricular events take up a lot of time, and who doesn't love to socialize? NOT THIS GIRL! It's all just been a blur of experiences and school to me. What little time I have left to write posts I want to use to relax by jamming to music or reading. [And quite possibly wasting on social media. ] So watching...

Nator's Discuss: The Review Process

[Jessi] Hello loverlies! We’re here today to talk about our reviewing processes! [Inky] Thanks so much to Lisseth from Read-A-Holicz for submitting this topic! Let’s get this party started! The Reviewing Process So Nator Twin, is there a specific way that you review books? Well, for me, there definitely is. I have to take notes when I’m reading, otherwise I forget everything. When I keep track of my thoughts, I feel like I have more in depth and accurate reviews. Plus, I like to use quotes to back my claims! And we all know how famous your quotes are for making me want to read or not a book. (If you didn’t, now you do). (I didn’t know. Thank you for the enlightenment!) I used to read a book, then make up my post and write my review as soon as I finished. Then I started getting really bad at reviewing things as soon as I was done, letting them pile up until I had 4 or more reviews I still needed to write. As a result, my reviews got more and more vague! Then recently I adopted Ashley’s...

Nators Discuss: Black Sheep and So Forth

[Inky] Hey Hey Hey! It’s Saturday! To be more specific, the SECOND Saturday. Meaning...It’s Nators Discuss time! We’re gonna kick it off with the Jessinator talking about sheep. A perfectly appropriate topic for a book blog, if I do say so myself.    On being the Black Sheep.... Have you been super hyped for a book that everyone loved, only to be disappointed?  [Jessi] For some reason when EVERYONE else loves something - I’m talking 4 and 5 star ratings almost everywhere and ALL my friends adore it - I end up being that one pessimist that doesn’t like it. Take *coughs* Sweet Evil, for instance. I know, I know. Please hold on your tomatoes for the moment. I hated it. In fact, hate isn’t even a strong enough word. Despised with the fire of a thousand suns. Raaaawrrr. Nator twin on the loose! Seriously! Every time I see another person give it a glowing rating, my soul dies a little more. Guys, this book has a 4.23 average Goodreads rating, with 4 and 5 star reviews almost ...
